DigiKeeps ("DigiKeeps," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and disclose information when you use the DigiKeeps application and related services (collectively, the "Service").

DigiKeeps is currently intended for users in the United States and is available to individuals 13 years of age or older.

By using DigiKeeps, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect information that you provide directly to us when you create and use a DigiKeeps account.

Account Information

Depending on how you create your account, we may collect:

• Email address
• Password credentials or authentication information
• Name or display name
• Username
• Information associated with Google sign-in, if you choose to use Google authentication

Passwords are handled through our authentication provider and are not stored by DigiKeeps in plain text.

Memories and User Content

DigiKeeps is designed to allow you to create digital memories and keepsakes. Content you choose to upload or create may include:

• Photos
• Written descriptions, captions, and journal entries
• Dates and places associated with memories
• Voice recordings and voice memos
• Links to songs or other external content
• Comments and reactions
• Shared-memory contributions
• Uploaded keepsake files, such as tickets, passes, screenshots, or documents
• Other information you voluntarily add to your memories

Please remember that anything you intentionally share with another DigiKeeps user may be accessible to that person.

Information About People You Invite

If you invite another person to participate in a shared memory, you may provide their email address or other identifying information used to locate or invite their DigiKeeps account.

If you provide someone else's information to DigiKeeps, you represent that you have a legitimate reason to do so and that your use of that information does not violate applicable law.

2. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We use information we collect to:

• Create and maintain your DigiKeeps account
• Provide and operate the DigiKeeps Service
• Store and display your memories and uploaded content
• Enable shared memories and collaboration
• Authenticate users and maintain account security
• Send account-related communications, including account confirmation and password-reset emails
• Store and play back voice memos you choose to record or upload
• Respond to support requests
• Detect, prevent, and investigate security issues, fraud, misuse, or unauthorized access
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the Service
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service

We do not sell your personal information.

We also do not use your personal information for advertising purposes.

We use your information to provide the Service and for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy unless you expressly agree to another use.

3. PHOTOS, VOICE MEMOS, AND MEDIA STORAGE

DigiKeeps allows you to save photos, voice memos, and other media as part of your memories and keepsakes.

When you upload or record content, it may be transmitted to and stored using DigiKeeps' cloud infrastructure so that it can be saved, displayed, played back, or shared through the Service.

Voice memos are stored as audio content. DigiKeeps does not currently provide AI-powered voice-to-text transcription. Voice recordings are not submitted by DigiKeeps to an AI transcription service.

You control the content you choose to add to your memories and, where available, whether you share it with other users.

Media storage and access are subject to the practices described in this Privacy Policy and the functionality of the Service.

4. HOW WE STORE YOUR INFORMATION

DigiKeeps uses third-party cloud infrastructure to store and process information necessary to provide the Service.

Our infrastructure currently includes:

• Lovable Cloud for application hosting and server infrastructure
• Supabase for database, authentication, and file storage
• Google when you choose Google authentication
• Lovable's managed email infrastructure for transactional account emails

Photos, voice recordings, and other uploaded files are stored in a private storage system.

DigiKeeps uses access controls designed to limit access to stored files to authorized users. Media may be served using temporary, signed URLs rather than permanent public URLs.

5. SHARED MEMORIES

DigiKeeps allows you to share memories with other users.

When you participate in a shared memory, information and content associated with that shared memory may be visible to the other authorized participants.

This may include:

• Photos
• Voice recordings and voice memos
• Written content
• Dates and locations
• Comments
• Reactions
• Contributions made by other participants

You should only share information with people you trust.

Removing someone from a shared memory is intended to prevent that person from continuing to access the shared memory through DigiKeeps. However, information that another person previously viewed, downloaded, copied, photographed, or otherwise saved outside DigiKeeps may remain in their possession.

6. EMAILS AND COMMUNICATIONS

DigiKeeps may send transactional emails necessary to operate your account, including:

• Account confirmation emails
• Password-reset emails
• Security or authentication-related emails
• Email-change confirmations
• Other necessary account communications

These emails are sent through Lovable's managed email infrastructure.

We do not currently use your information to send third-party advertising or marketing emails.

7. GOOGLE SIGN-IN

If you choose to sign in using Google, Google may provide DigiKeeps with information associated with your Google account, such as your email address and basic profile information.

Google's use of your information is governed by Google's own privacy policies.

DigiKeeps does not receive your Google password.

8. INFORMATION WE DO NOT CURRENTLY COLLECT FOR ADVERTISING OR ANALYTICS

DigiKeeps currently does not use:

• Third-party advertising networks
• Advertising trackers
• Google Analytics
• Meta Pixel
• Behavioral advertising
• Data brokers
• Third-party marketing profiles

We may use limited technical information necessary to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Service.

9. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

We may share information with service providers that help us operate DigiKeeps, including providers involved in:

• Hosting
• Database services
• Authentication
• File storage
• Email delivery
• Security and infrastructure

These providers are authorized to process information as necessary to provide services to DigiKeeps.

We may also disclose information:

• When required by law
• In response to valid legal process
• To protect the rights, safety, or property of DigiKeeps, our users, or others
• To investigate fraud, abuse, or security threats
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, sale of assets, or other business transaction

10. DATA SECURITY

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information.

These measures may include authentication controls, database access controls, private file storage, row-level security, authorization checks, and temporary signed URLs for stored media.

However, no method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for notifying us if you believe your account has been compromised.

11. YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS

You may:

• Access and use the information stored in your DigiKeeps account
• Edit or update information associated with your account
• Delete memories and other content where the Service provides deletion functionality
• Delete your DigiKeeps account
• Choose what content you share with other users

When you delete your account, DigiKeeps is designed to delete your account and associated data from our active systems, subject to information that may need to be retained for legitimate legal, security, fraud-prevention, or other lawful purposes.

Content that other users have independently copied or saved outside DigiKeeps cannot be deleted from those users' possession by DigiKeeps.

12. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

DigiKeeps is intended for individuals 13 years of age or older.

DigiKeeps does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe that a child under 13 has provided personal information to DigiKeeps, please contact us using the contact information below. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information.

13. U.S. PRIVACY RIGHTS

Depending on where you live, you may have certain privacy rights under applicable U.S. state privacy laws.

These rights may include rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information, or to obtain information about how your personal information is used and disclosed.

To make a privacy request, contact us using the information below.

We will verify requests as reasonably necessary to protect your account and personal information.

Because DigiKeeps is initially launching in the United States, this Privacy Policy is currently designed around our U.S. launch. If DigiKeeps becomes available in additional countries or regions, we may update this Privacy Policy to address additional legal requirements.

14. DATA RETENTION

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide DigiKeeps and for legitimate business, security, legal, and operational purposes.

The length of time information is retained may depend on the type of information and whether you continue to use DigiKeeps.

When you delete your account or content, we will take reasonable steps to remove it from active systems, subject to legal obligations, security requirements, backups, and other legitimate retention needs.

15. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

DigiKeeps relies on third-party service providers to operate the Service. These currently include:

• Lovable Cloud — application hosting, server infrastructure, and managed services.
• Supabase — database, authentication, and private file storage.
• Google — authentication when Google sign-in is selected.
• Lovable managed email infrastructure — transactional account email.

These services may process information as necessary to provide their services to DigiKeeps.

16. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as DigiKeeps evolves, our practices change, or legal requirements change.

When we make material changes, we may provide notice through the Service or other appropriate means.

The "Effective Date" at the top of this Privacy Policy indicates when the current version became effective.
